Support Homework Thursday
Keep reading and free writing at home.
Start thinking about what you would like to write for a story next week. I’ll give you two half periods to do it. Bring in everything you have learned about what makes excellent narrative. It can be a memoir, realistic fiction, historical fiction…whatever you like. It’s like your vignette with a plot, which means there’s rising action and resolution (however the resolution doesn’t necessary solve everything). Remember the rubric you looked over with Ms. Tasharski for what makes a level 12 piece of writing. Remember the waffle story about the girl’s father that you read. Let’s see who can knock my socks off (don’t worry it’s just an idiom – you won’t have to smell my feet) 🙂
